Festival goers to converge on Coco Cabana for MCMF

Miri: Some 1,000 festival goers are expected to converge here for the 5th Miri Country Music Festival (MCMF) at Coco Cabana today.

Festival advisor Gracie Geikie said about 40 per cent from the festival goers would be guests from Peninsular Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore.



MCMF to feature 7 local and international bands

The annual Miri Country Music Festival (MCMF), happening November 24 at Coco Cabana Miri, will feature 7 local and international bands.

The line-up for MCMF 2018 are Delilah Rose & the Gunslingers (Australia), Rani & Mel (Singapore/Indonesia), Joe Ferdinands F&F (Singapore), Raggy (Penang), Ady Wow & Maha (Sabah, Mountain Wind Band (Sarawak) and Country Road Band (Sarawak).


MCMF Tawar Harga 'Early Bird' Bagi Penggemar Muzik Country

MIRI: Miri Country Music Festival (MCMF) kembali lagi tahun ini dengan menawarkan harga tiket ‘early bird’ kepada penggemar muzik country.

Penasihat MCMF Gracie Geikie berkata, MCMF yang memasuki tahun kelima penganjurannya akan diadakan pada 24 November, bermula jam 5 petang di Coco Cabana Miri.


Plans Underway to Elevate Miri Country Music Further

MIRI: There are plans to elevate the organisation of Miri Country Music Festival (MCMF) further next year.

According to Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Lee Kim Shin, his ministry has included MCMF as one of the tourism products for Visit Sarawak Year (VMY) 2019 campaign.


Country music festival to rock miri again come Nov 24

KUCHING, Oct 22: The annual Miri Country Music Festival (MCMF) will return on Nov 24 at the Coco Cabana, next to Miri Seahorse Lighthouse.

A press release from its organiser, Place Borneo Sdn Bhd, said this fifth edition was expected to attract about 1,000 festival goers to watch six local and international bands delivering original numbers and greatest country music hits that are suitable for music fans of all ages.


Music event in Miri to feature Penan handicrafts

MIRI: A country music extravaganza, which will be held in Miri this weekend, will also provide an opportunity for the Penans to market their handicrafts.

Some 4,000 music lovers from here and overseas are expected to attend the concert at Parkcity Everly Hotel beachfront.


Miri Country Music Festival to return

MIRI: The fourth Miri Country Music Festival (MCMF) will take place this Saturday and Sunday (Feb 25-26) at Parkcity Everly Hotel here.

MCMF artistic director Asif Ben Pishori said the bands selected would bring to the stage ‘a diverse refreshing twist of styles’.


Double the fun as Miri Country Music Fest doubles its days

MIRI: The Miri Country Music Fest (MCMF2017) is back with two days and nights of packed honky-tonk fun for the whole family.

“Mark your calendar for Feb 25 and 26 now as the fourth edition of MCMF2017 promises you an experience of country and western music to remember,” said festival advisor Gracie Geikie in a press conference here recently.
